Jada - FooBoy Replica

There was a time in Australia when the coolest RX-7s were the simplest. Reliable modifications and stock body with Mazdaspeed parts reigned.

Aaron Foo's FD was one such car. Well known in the rotary scene for minimal coolness. As Aaron and I became friends, I eventually made a replica for him.

Jada - Pan Speed Replica

This is a modified Jada Option D Work version. I custom carved the Pan Speed front to complement the crazy curves on these cars to create a street style replica.

The rear spoiler received the treatment also and then a coat of red to complete the transformation. the bonnet was painted to reflect the carbon style.

These cars have great detail inside and out. while not so scale they certainly make good showpieces.

Metal work sucks! but you get there in the end.

It was a shame to start this one.

But the side had a lot of decals that really weren't looking great.

So it got the renovation.

I later swapped the hood for a normal version and used the scoot style on another project.

Jada - RE-Xtreme Wide Body

This is a Jada Toys 1/18 scale replica that started out as a silver and gold C-West version.

My own car at the time was similar and I really wanted white. So this was the replica.

Even replica of me.

It's pretty fat! the dis on the TE37 is massive. You don't get that in real life. I love the craziness of Jada toys.

This shot shows the width and no detail.

This shot show detail and no width.

Waterspray on the IC? maybe?

Here are a couple of shots of the build.

Wide isn't she.

Even Keisuke and Ryosuke were impressed.

Mazda FD3S RX-7

Fujimi RE-Amemiya Greddy9 The Street Mu Kit
Mettalic Green
Full Cage / Custom Diffuser and Front Splitter
19" TE37 Wheels

This was another terrible kit from Fujimi. The fitment of bumpers to body were atrocious and the bonnet gap in stupidly big.

Side diffusers are unfinished and all in all, not something I'd recommend for the novice.

Fujimi MazdaSpeed Rx7 RSpec Kit

Mazda FD3S RX-7

Fujimi MazdaSpeed RSpec Kit
Metallic Blue
19" Equip Chrome Wheels

These newer style Fujimi kits from around 2003 are pretty poor. Look at the mirrors on this one and the bumper was a mess.

Pretty much out of the box although I hate the front indicator lenses on this kit, so left off.

A little taste of fast and the furious.
