RC 1/24 DRIFT

My Drift ART DA4 has been the savior of my scale modelling.

It's already got me building again. Completing old projects that were never really finished.

And they look even better in motion and don't loose much in detail (interior to come)

Mounting the body on the chassis with magnets allows for simple swaps.

As most of mu models are FD3s anyway. they all just work.

I've already added diffusers and splitters. Wheels are OD 19.8mm or 22.2mm and these fitted here are 19.8 versions.

Only have 2 sets right now, but that will change to all available designs and 3d printed and ones I design myself.

Fun times ahead. If my eyes can keep up.

Mazda FD3s 1/24 Lowering Techniques (Aoshima)

How do I get good stance on an Aoshima 1/24 RX7 Fd3s  model? Try this.

FRONT:
simply remove the spacer from the top suspension A-arm
glue the spacer to the lower suspension arm.

Carefully cut this piece off.

Somply glue the removed piece to the bottom.

REAR:
remove around two coils from the suspension to cater for the drop
remove the chassis mounts so the subframe can sit flat

You can see the depth here

to go further.

reshape the wheel hub to allow for a further drop in ride height.

You can see the hub sits below the suspension arm.
